[採訪] FFXIV 粉絲雜誌 - The Moogle Post #35
沒想到我也有畫同人圖畫到被邀請採訪的一天 :P
前陣子,FFXIV 粉絲雜誌 The Moogle Post 的成員詢問我是否有興趣接受他們的採訪,並收錄於下一期的雜誌內容。
他們的雜誌編排實在美、太有愛。
雖然我畫了不少FFXIV的Commissions,也收官方的畫冊,但其實我自己本身卻沒有玩FFXIV。
在事先告知他們我的實際狀況後,她們說這些問題大多只跟我的繪圖有關,於是我也就欣然接受這個採訪。

How did you come to be drawing FFXIV-related artwork?
你是怎麼來繪製與FFXIV相關的作品的?
It was my first time to open commission on my DeviantART, an FFXIV player commissioned me a chibi illustration for his character, and then almost the commissions content after that were FFXIV until now. :P
是從我第一次在DeviantART開Commission開始的,一個FFXIV的玩家委託我他的角色Q版圖,接下來的委託內容就幾乎都是FFXIV直到今天。:P
Do you draw artwork related to any other games or media?
你是否畫了與其他遊戲或媒體有關的作品?
Sure! Phantasy Star Online 2, World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Mabinogi, and MapleStory.
I also do character concepts and illustrations for games’ and novels’ companies.
當然!像是夢幻之星Online2、魔獸世界、鬥陣特攻和楓之谷。(其實還有Wakfu,但因為後面有提到,這邊我就忘記講XD)
我也有做一些商業遊戲跟小說的人設、插畫。
Do you have any formal training in your art or any other visual media?
你接受任何關於正規藝術訓練或其他數位媒體培訓?
No formal training, but I learn drawing skill by observing good illustrations from other artists, it is also good to learn something from their WIP (Works in progress).
沒有受過正規訓練,但我大多從其他畫家的作品上學習繪圖技巧,從他們的草圖、途中也能學到很多東西。
How would you describe your visual style?
你如何描述您的畫風?
Anime style?
Someone had described my arts look like the detailed version of Japanese 80’s anime. xD
動畫風?
曾經有人形容我的作品看起來像是日本80年代的精緻版。XD
What inspires and motivates you?
是什麼啟發和激勵著你?
Cost of living! LOL
Ahem! Back to the topic, the things which inspire me are almost games and anime.
But if I need to design something, then beautiful photos and fashion runway are the best.
生活費!XDDDDD
咳!回到正題,靈感大部分是來自遊戲和動畫。但如果我要設計些什麼東西的話,那麼美麗的照片和時尚走秀則是最好的。
What is your favourite subject matter to draw?
你最喜歡的繪畫主題是什麼?
Dynamic illustrations.
Although it takes so much time to design the composition, it always has good result for an illustration.
動感的插畫
雖然說通常會花費不少時間設計構圖,但結果通常都很不錯。
Does your artwork have a deeper meaning?
你的作品有更深層的含義嗎?
Unfortunately…I am a simple guy.;_;
But if you see some foods in my artworks, it must be something delicious. (At least to me.)
不幸地,我是個簡單的人。;_;
但如果看到有食物出現在我的作品裡,那一定會是好吃的東西。(至少對我而言)
Who are your biggest influences?
誰是影響你最深的人?
Hiroyuki Imaishi (今石 洋之), I learn dynamic pose/composition from his works!
As for drawing/coloring style, I learn from Wakfu and Dofus (TV series and games produced by Ankama) a lot. Especially the designs and background, I wish I can do something like them in the future.
今石洋之,從他的作品學到很多動態構圖。
至於畫風/上色,則是Wakfu和Dofus (Ankama製作的遊戲、動畫系列),特別是造型設計以及場景,希望有一天能畫這類的東西。
Which is your favourite artwork you have created so far?
到目前為止,您最喜歡的作品是哪一件?
This one. It is also my first FFXIV FULL commission.
FFXIV - Crystal Tower
I love glowing thing, the crystals, the starry sky, and the tower!
這一張,同時也是我第一張FFXIV的FULL Commission。
我喜歡會發光的東西,水晶、星空、還有塔!
What do you have planned for your future art projects?
您在未來有什麼藝術計劃嗎?
Well…I want to draw my OCs.
Unfortunately, I have limited working/drawing time a day since my wrist injured last year, therefore I will do the commercial works and the commissions before mine.
恩…我想畫我的原創角色。
不幸地,自從去年我的手受傷以後,我一天的畫圖/工作時間有限。因此,在畫我自己的東西以前,我會優先做商業以及委託的插畫。
Do you have any advice for people who are starting out in drawing or digital art?
對於剛開始繪畫或數位插畫的人,您有什麼建議嗎?
Basic skills of drawing are important.
When I was a young kid, I considered basic skills were not important at all. I just needed to draw the faces beautiful, and then everything will be okay because it was anime style.
I have erred so egregiously. If I don’t know how to draw thing correctly, I will screw all the armors up, and you will never see my FFXIV artworks today. :P
繪圖基礎很重要。
當我還是年輕屁孩的時候,我也曾經覺得基礎工不是那麼重要,反正是日系風格,我只要把人臉畫得漂亮就萬事OK了。
當時我錯得離譜,因為如果我沒有把東西畫得正確,我會搞砸所有的盔甲,然後你永遠不會看到我畫這些FFXIV的作品。
What has your experience been of undertaking commissions? Any horror stories?
您在接Commission的發生過任何恐怖故事?
Most of my experiences are good, but there is a advice that I can give if someone who wants to commission an artist.
It will be better not to ask artist change/redraw the pose, angle or armor after they completed the details. Because the 2D illustration is not like the 3D model that can change these things easily, even a small request may cost the artist a day to redraw some part of the illustration from zero.
我大部分的經驗都還算不錯,但有個建議我可以給一些未來有打算委託畫家畫圖的朋友。
在確認細節後,請盡量不要要求畫家改變/重畫動作、視角、裝備等等,因為2D插畫不像3D模型一樣容易調整,經常一個小小的要求可能會導致畫家耗費整天的時間從零開始修正這些東西。
